Activities
Our activities are the drum beat of life at The Westbury and a great way for all our residents to socialise and keep active.
We have a lovely communal area where we provide a busy programme of activities seven days a week, which changes regularly. We know that everyone has different tastes and preferences, so we look to provide something for everyone, from bingo and arts and crafts through to cooking and trips out to the local countryside. Our wellbeing coordinators love hearing residents’ feedback and their ideas for new activities and in-house entertainment.
Our landscaped garden and patio offer a serene setting for spending quality time with friends and loved ones and our residents take pride in tending to these outdoor spaces. We also have a charity that brings therapy dogs into the home each week for residents’ enjoyment and company.
Food
We are proud of the varied and delicious meals we provide at The Westbury. We know how important good quality food is to the mental and physical wellbeing of our residents and we ensure that all meals are home cooked and made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
We provide home favourites such as lasagne and fish and chips as well as dishes that acknowledge different tastes, such as coconut curry and stir frys. Our chef loves trying new recipes and is happy to cater for special requests from residents.
We also cater for specialised diets and provide vegetarian, gluten-free, and diabetic-friendly options.
Residents can eat in the communal dining areas, or if they would prefer a quieter mealtime they can be served in their rooms. Snacks and drinks are provided throughout the day.
Facilities
The Westbury is a converted mansion, set within beautiful grounds in West Wiltshire. The building has been thoughtfully extended to ensure that it can provide the space and facilities to meet the needs of all its residents, while retaining its charm and character.
The Westbury is a home-from-from home for all our residents. It has cosy sitting rooms, communal areas for activities and socialising, and a light and attractive dining room. There is plenty of room for residents to unwind and engage in creative activities.
The bright and welcoming bedrooms and living areas are mindfully designed for wheelchair accessibility. All of the home’s rooms have ensuite toilets and sinks, and the larger rooms are equipped with ensuite showers.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their belongings, creating a true sense of home.

We have a dedicated, highly-trained caring team here at The Westbury, who are passionate about looking after our residents. We work hard to foster a genuine family atmosphere and we have a loyal team of long-term employees, many of whom have been with the home for over 10 years – our manager has been with us for over 20 years.
Kindness and respect are at the heart of our caring ethos, and we focus on personalised care and respect for the preferences and choices of each resident.
As well as providing excellent care, our team enjoys making meaningful, heartfelt relationships with all those we look after.
